Oh, how sad no one is leaving a Merry-Xmas-message. Anyway, here's one: Christmas is the time to think about our family, friends and folks. I am happy and just simply happy to have a family in South Africa. I love you all, every single one in the family, wishing you the best wishes. I am wondering if I can fly to South Africa to have a family-hug with all of you guys this Xmas. I am wishing Santa Claus to grant me that ticket :) . Melting when missing you.

Shahfar Khan From Pakistan - Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 01:12:19 (CAT)

Hey Guys,
Many of you probably have no idea who I am. I'm last years Pakistan Delegate. Urooj, Shahryar and I went to the same school. The reason why i decied to give you all a hoot was, ( at the risk of sounding gushy) that the Cathay W. Experience was possibly the most rewarding thing i have ever undertaken in my life. I met remarkable people, many of whom I am still in contact with. For most of you, this is probably your first Inter-Cultural experience before the Great Big Bag College Years. I guess what I wanted to say was that, soak it all up. Everyone has something to learn from the other. From Miles to Hanneka, down to the grain of sand that makes you eyes water, teaches you something you didnt know before. I credit everyone i met last year into making me the person I am today. And now you guys can pull out ure fists from your mouths. I'm done being all florid and gushy.

Hi all,

Last week, I had a short presentation to my schoolmates about my experience in IWE. After that, my teachers and friends appreciated my presentation as well as the information included. I feel very happy and proud of I can be one of 42 delegates in the trip. Of course I have to say thank you to all of you to teach me a lot about nature conservation and other culture. Success of presentation base on the knowledge you taugh me in the trip. Thank you very much. I will never forget anyone of you. Keep in touch.

Hi all,

Today is 22nd Sept. The same day in last month. We all HK delegates were in the airport and waited for other delegates' coming. It seems that it happened yesterday. And my memory still is fresh about the happiness of joining this programme. I never forget what I had learnt and what I was impressed most. I miss all of you guys, although we are all now separated.

At the same time, I wanna when we can see the Day 8's journal? There should be one more to complete our once-in-a-lifetime trip and fulfill our Cycle of Life thoroughly.

Keep in touch and friendship forever!!!

How wonderful to hear from all the previous years Classes. I will do my best to have as many photo's of the different years on the website. But I need help from the Classes of 2000 - 2003. Please submit photo's. Look out for this space for more info of where you can paste your photo's to make your own year alive again on the web. Warmest greetings. Hanneke

Fatima From Bahrainnn - on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 10:22:20 (CAT)

So many people have come to me these last couple of days, asking me about The Trip. I could have the worlds largest, thickest, fattest dictionary and the only word that could possibly come even remotely close to describing my experience would be this: Indescribable. I miss you soooooooo much everyone! i feel like this CHUNK of me is missing without you! But you watch, im gonna get us a reunion!! it's only been a little over a week since we were all cursing Obie for waking us up so HORRIBLY! but it feels like much longer than that:(

Thank you all 4 giving me an experience to remember

Adeline Salim From Indonesia - Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 18:35:18(CAT)

Message: Hi guys!!! Glad to have this site back! I was one of the Indonesian delegates in 2002, but for years our website's been... missing.

Just one thing though, could the webmaster added pictures, journals, etc. from the previous years? Not just the 2005.. you know, especially the 2002!

To the new delegates: hope you guys are having a lot of fun, I'm sure you are, it's such an amazing experience, innit??

PS: Who gets to bring home the Bush Blossom btw?? I almost got it but somebody who jumped off the jeep to get his hat in a lion zone beat me to that ;)

Patrick Yuen From Hong Kong - Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 17:22:48 (CAT)

Hi all, I think I still miss you all guys and SA as well. I had a dream after school which was very amazing. I wanna share here.

In the dream, I got 2 air tickets accidentally and I travelled on a plane. After I arrived, I walked into a room. Inside that room, I saw all delegates and chatted each other. Lots of delegates were approaching such as Nhu and Urooj. We all were playing games and chatting happily...

Although this is a dream only, I'm really looking forards its coming. I wanna meet all of you guys again!!! I miss you all!!!!

Nick Pharazyn From New Zealand on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 12:04:52 (CAT)

Hi everyone!

I'm another delegate from the CPIWE class of 05'- its awesome to see everyone this year had a similarly mind blowing experience to that which we were priveliged enough to enjoy last year. Remember to stay in touch... guys and girls from our year from different nations have already met up and others are planning there own small scale reunions- putting that little extra effort in should ensure the friends you made will be lifelong ones.

Cheers, Nick

Hai Nhu From Viet Nam - Monday, September 4, 2006 at 17:57:56 (CAT)

My dear officers and friends,

Everytime I read your messages, it brings me back to the peaceful village of Botshabelo, where we felt as home and shared our wonderful time with each other. I miss those moments when we sat side by side, looking up at the shining stars of South Africa sky at night and talking about our lives, our dreams. Your wide knowledge and your love for nature have broadened up my little mind about the big world outside and helped me realize its meaning in my life. I have learned a lot from you.

Thank you my excellent officers for your always taking good care of us during the trip. You woke up very early in the morning to prepare for our days, and stayed up until very late at night to ensure that we were all safe and warm in our beds. Thank you for organizing such an unforgettable event for us and helping us grow. You mean so much to me !!!

Thank you my great great friends for the beautiful memories we had and the special friendship we have built in our hearts. Our tears on the last days of the trip speak more than any fancy words.

Ti yu cc bạn ( Toi yeu cac ban ) I Love You Ek is lief vir jou Best regards, Hai Nhu

Hey guys...Big hug and kiss to everyone. I'm deadly missing you guys now. There is no way to describe how magical and wonderful the experience i had in South Africa. It changed my life, and taught me the important of environmental issues and cultural conservation. I'm definitely gonna work harder for this mission. I want to say big thank you to everyone, being together at those special seven days. You know, there're really too short for me. Though every trip will end eventually, i hope we have more time to be together(probably 3 more days). Anyway, i have already carved all faces in my heart since leaving from airpot. This memories will always be in my deepest soul. By the way, i definitely gonna keep practicing playing my drum, and keep in touch by MSN. Hey, it's not an end. It's just a start! Thank you for eveything and thank you all fellow delegates who always by my side and helping each other to fulfill happiness. THANK YOU ALL! i feel that im crying inside missing you guys so much that i dont wanna go to school, wanna go back to SA again!!!!!

Dear Class of 2006

Hope you all have arrived safely and are with your families. Your South African family is holding you in our hearts. It was wonderful getting to know you all and you will hear from the Ubungani Team again. When most unexpected, you will receive your Daily Journal book and your Final Reflections to remind you about all the wonderful experiences and people you can call friends now. Warmest greetings.

Message: Oh my God, I never thought I'd have access to Internet in the Hong Kong International Airport for free! But that's why I'm here to send you all my love. To me, this Cathay Pacific wilderness experience was such a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I wish it never ended. But there are two things that still confuse me. First, shall we see our reflection books again? Second, will this forum provide a place for us to share photos?

Message: wow... a VERY big wow! I'm an ex-participant from the 2004 Experience, and I've been avidly following the progress of the 2006 Experience - hoping and praying it will be just as special, heartwarming and environmentally enlightening as the trip I went on! Everyday I hope you receive blue, clear skies, and in the evenings, the most magnificent African sunsets that South Africa has to offer... I've seen Botshabelo from local websites, and I must say, the place is BEAUTIFUL! The 2006 delegates are truly lucky! A hearty congrats to Tracey, Hanneke and the entire Ubungani Team for changing yet more lives to grace the world we live in... we really do appreciate everything you do for us! To the delegates of 2006... for most of you, these may very well be the best 10 days of your life. They were mine. And they still are. Live these days to the FULL, do NOT leave anything to chance... live without regret. May the Sun warm all your hearts and reflect in your smiles...! Much Lo ve, Thrivin Naidoo, 2004 Cathay Pacific International Wilderness Experience participant
