These
are the important values I have learnt from this programme, and
this is how I intend to use them in my life as from now on …
To
learn something new and explore wider, it is important to have an
open mind and be active and that’s the only way to gain more.
Experiencing the real beauty of nature, I am more determined to
protect the environment and help stopping the global warming.
A
face-to-face chatting is the best communication method and it is
also good to understand different culture deep and well. Smiling
is always helpful to ease the fear or tension, whole respect and
patient is essential for communication.
No
matter what the activity is, just to learn, to participate to
enjoy! |

These are the important values I have learnt from this programme,
and this is how I intend to use them in my life as from now on …
It was really a once-a-lifetime experience for me, not only to
know more about the wildlife, sky, but also values that are
useful for my whole life. Never look down on yourself because we
have to love ourselves first then for others to love us.
Beautiful places, unspoiled places are still there on earth, we
just have to start protecting from now on and we can make a
difference. Everything around us is beautiful and its unique
identity and position, so pay more attention to our surroundings
and discover the beauty of it. Start from ourselves and spread
the news to everyone beside us, is what I would like to start by
now. |

What makes experience here so special and unforgettable can be
explained in one word – DIVERSE. Our backgrounds, our lifestyles,
our races, our environment, our characters … basically
everything. But what makes it even more special is the way all
these different people get to cope together so well. All these
relationships are going to last long because we all treasure,
respect and love one another. This global network is going to be
really strong and together we will show care and love to those
around us, better our environment and achieve our goals.
“Learn to be your own best friend”- from Hanneke. Love yourself,
appreciate yourself and start contributing to the earth from
yourself. The wildlife, the habitats, the stars, the weather …
everything is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And especially
because you don’t have it at home, you find it ever so precious.
And that’s what’s going to give you the zeal to take the first
step to protect your environment and make the world a better place
to live in. |

Mr Earth is our gift from God. However, he is in sick and it is
now our responsibilities to heal him. Water wastage and global
warming are only part of what Mr Earth is suffering. So, what
should we do? The solution is simple. Love your neighbors as
you love yourself We are Mr Earth’s neighbors and he is neighbor
of ours. This is why we care for people, care for Earth. |

These are the important values I have learnt from this programme,
and this is how I intend to use them in my life as from now on …
I
learnt that individuals, no matter how small and powerless we
might seem, we could actually make a difference as long as we dare
to do so. This programme has further empowered us with global
connections, lifelong friendship and the faith that no matter what
happen, there is always people who share the same value with us.
I
have experienced the nature with such intimacy that no matter what
I do, I will always be reminded of the cost of all my resources.
I understand that the wild is not something to be feared, but
something to be loved and treasured.
The message of dawn is hope. I’d never forget the hope of courage
and perseverance from people South Africa’s dawn reminded me of. |

Regard animals as my family members and nature as my house. Never
do harmful things to my “sisters” or throw rubbish about in the
“living room”.
Take my responsibility for global warming as a consumer of the
nature. Cut down my own CO2 emissions and tell everyone around
me to make effort on solving environmental problems.
Never say die even the task seems impossible. Stick to my aim and
try my best to make it.
Be a good observer. Think about what I see and what values I can
absorb from it.
Like myself first, then I can like others and make others like me.
Smile is the most beautiful sunshine. It makes it a sunny day
everyday. |

Sincere and trust are the most valuable gifts that the God gives
us to break the ice at any time anywhere. And also teamwork is
always the most powerful strength we’ve got. Use it, and nothing
is impossible. Watching the starry sky here by heart, I can feel
soul exactly.
Lying on the mud ground with the roof made of starry sky above
your head, I just realized how tiny our human beings are. The
voice of the running water beside you sang much louder than your
breathe.
I’ll keep this attitude of respect and appreciation to both the
nature and the various cultures in my mind. I promise to be more
responsible for our environment and to seize every opportunity to
understand more people. |

These are the important values I have learnt from this programme,
and this is how I intend to use them in my life as from now on …
Participating in this programme opened my senses to a whole new
world. I love the culture and lifestyles that each delegate
introduced to us. We can all laugh and chat about the same things
and issue even though we speak a different language and come from
a different place. The bonds we share with the people and nature
will definitely last forever. I learned an important lesson that
we do not stand alone in the fight to preserve nature for the
future generation. I hope to introduce how simple yet stunning
nature can be to my country. If everyone can occasionally stop
and smell the roses, they would understand why it is important a
balance is needed for both humans and nature to co-exist
peacefully. By understanding the needs of both sides, we can find
a solution to maintain nature’s beauty. I believe the friends we
have made here have the same wish to preserve our home for the
future. Our culture, tradition, lifestyle and nature’s beautiful
flora and fauna are part of planet Earth. It cannot be lost. If
we work together, we have the power to change the world into a
better place. We will play our parts to reclaim the past and live
for the future. |

These are the important values I have learnt from this programme,
and this is how I intend to use them in my life as from now on …
From this program I have learnt that nothing in the world is more
important than team work. You, along with your friends, should
always be there for each other and help out each other in the most
difficult times. You should stand united and face all problems as
a group. Support and help others when they are scared or have a
problem. This program has even taught me to be patient and
understanding. Wait for the others, cause if you are one of the
fast ones, then not necessarily everyone will be fast.
You should listen to other people and their advice, instead of
screaming out your suggestion. Wait for the silent ones to speak
up, cause often they are deep thinkers and come up with the most
brilliant suggestions.
I
will use my experience and learnings in all aspects of my life.
These values are such that will help me at all times in my life,
whether it be at school, university or while doing a job.
I
will always cherish this experience for my entire life. This
program has made a deep impact on me, and I just won’t forget
about the beautiful area, the friendly officers and the most
adorable group of friends. |

Speaking absolute truth, I think this programme has taught me ways
to treasure myself and the people around me at every instance, to
lead, to support and to always be loyal and honest. Not to forget
the most important one that going absolutely and completely mad
and crazy is PERFECTLY NORMAL. When I go back home, I will
definitely try and appreciate my life more rather than sulk on
what I don’t have. I will try to be more in sync and harmony with
nature and the diversities of it all. To live and let live, to
accept others and most importantly to always be yourself! |

These are the important values I have learnt from this programme,

Courage, humility, being friendly, taking the time to listen,
noticing and appreciating everything that is around me because
there are many people who don’t have/experience what the things I
do, smiling no matter what, trying my best, to always believe in:
myself, others and the future. Laugh even when I’m scared,
perseverance and patience, tact, to be myself, thinking more,
being assertive, making opportunities out of your difficulties,
being willing to learn more, to relax, proud of who and what I am,
being bold to speak in public, facing challenges head on, caring
and thinking about others, practicing what I preach.
Whatever adversity I might face in my life, I will use these
values as my weapons. I will use some of these qualities to
become a better person, child, grandchild, sister, friend,
scholar, member of the community and ambassador of my country. It
will be easier for me to express myself and reach for my goals.
Become more pro-active in my community. With al of these values,
I will strive to become a better me and using my values and
talents to improve and make the world a better place because for
the first time in my life, I KNOW it is within my power to do so
and that I can make DIFFERENCE. |

Firstly, I’d like to say that I learnt so many things from this
programme and as I learnt, I also had the time of my life. I wake
up every morning to all these beautiful faces, that I’m never
going to forget.
A
tea is not complete until everybody unites and put their souls
together. And then with that, a team can build up team work.
True teamwork can only happen when one puts others in the position
of right beside, not in front, not after, but equal. Then
together, impossible, is nothing.
Everyone can be a leader, everyone can be followers and helpers.
There is no “one” true leader in our group, because depending on
the situation and what one is good at, anyone can be the leader.
I believe this programme taught me that very well, and that
everybody is capable of shining. Depends on whether if you can
just relax and go for it! |

The first and the most important one I’ve learnt is “the real
nature”. I don’t mean only the forest, but also the stars, air,
animals etc I’ve never experienced these things before until now,
and of course I’m so glad to come here. Although, we didn’t
discuss about “Environmental Problems” a lot, but personally I
don’t think that it is necessary because once I’ve experienced
this awesome nature, I’m willing to save nature. Thus, I’ll do
everything to save it, start from me.
Not only the fantastic nature that Hanneke presented. Also, she
provided us various kind of fun activities. These activities make
me to make friends easier. These friends come from many different
countries, we share and exchange info. We know the culture of
many countries. This camp really open the world for me.

SA was a place of wonder and IWE was a programme of surprise.
Together, we teenagers from 9 different countries, discovered all
the beauty and wealth of mother nature. Knowledge were gained as
long as love and respect, not only to the amazing wild nature
condition here but also to the global environment. International
solidarity were also created in only 1 week. Now we know that
we’re a part of this world and every little thing we do would make
a different. Simple things like turning off the light, collecting
trash or buying environment friendly products won’t be only
something I SAY at an environmental conference anymore for I know
my dear friends are DOING them in their own countries at the
moment. |

protect Mother Nature … This wonderful experience has changed me
